The air filter cap is the piece on the underside of your Volcano that holds the air filter in place. It is not glamorous, it costs less than a coffee, and your vaporizer does not pull properly without it.

Caps take a beating. They live at the bottom of the unit, they get pulled off every time the filter gets swapped, and eventually the tabs go soft or the cap goes missing entirely. Replacing one is a thirty second job with no tools involved.
